COCHECO VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Bring Us Home

The current CVHS facility is very limiting and desperately outdated. The staff continues to provide loving care for the animals in less than optimal conditions and the current facility is deteriorating quickly. The time has come to build a new shelter!

CVHS has executed a 99-year lease with Strafford County for a six and a half acre parcel of land on the County complex in Dover. Plans have been finalized to build an 11,000 square foot facility that will enable CVHS to increase adoptions, enhance community programs and expand its veterinary technician training program in partnership with the University of New Hampshire.

CVHS Naming Opportunities

“Of all the charities that I have contributed to through the last three decades, CVHS has been my favorite. The employees and volunteers have always been most gracious, and incredibly helpful during the adoptions of the seven cats and kittens I’ve taken in during that time. The culture of the organization is one of serving the animals and the human customer, a daunting task compounded by limited resources and an outdated facility. But mostly I am grateful to the loyal feline friends that have kept me company and thoroughly amused.”
